I’m so annoyed right now. Literally spent 3 hours today trying to make improvements to the spreadsheets, only to realize that everything I just did wasn’t relevant to fantasy at all. Standard deviation of scores tells you nothing important, or so I think.
I write this not to come across as like some martyr or something, slaving myself out to produce content (I can choose how I want to waste my free time.. plus I enjoy this lol), but to explain why there is no written recap this week. I just don’t have the energy to make one, so spreadsheets will have to do.
Spreadsheets

There were supposed to be like 2 new columns in here. Oopsie.
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out a way to make tiers to determine who is good, average, and bad. I thought I had a genius idea using standard deviation, and it worked pretty well with this years data, but when I tried to use it with last years, it did not work how I expected. Samway’s abysmal 550 power rating from last year threw the whole thing off and ruined my night. So I decided to just keep it simple and have 1000 +- 100 be the official ranking. It seems to be pretty good so far, but it is a work in progress and may be altered or trashed completely if it doesn’t provide accurate ratings in the future. Seems accurate at the moment though.
Remember that a completely average team would have an adjusted ranking of exactly 1000, so there is variations in the tiers.
This means:
– any team with an adjusted power rating over 1100 is considered a “good” team
– any team with an adjusted power rating under 900 is considered a “bad” team
– any team with an adjusted power rating between 900 and 1100 is an “average” team
Have a good night boys.
